My Story Isn’t Over Yet
June 30, 2020
On July 3rd, 2019 at approximately 8:00 AM an announcement from Moms in the Making shared on all social media outlets that I would be co-leading a support group in Green Bay, Wisconsin. At approximately 4:00 PM that same day another driver from oncoming traffic had a seizure in her vehicle, crossed over a median and totaled my car while I was pulling up to a stoplight. The crash happened in a matter of seconds, but it felt like it was in slow motion. The other driver was inches away from hitting my driver’s side door and I sat in shock as my rear tire rolled down the street. The officers at the scene told me that it was a true miracle that they were not transporting me to the hospital in an ambulance.
In October 2019, I attended my first Moms in the Making conference and received a prophetic card which had been prayed over by the I Am Fruitful team. The card didn’t speak to me or make sense to me at the time. The card said, “’But you, oh Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. I cried out to the Lord, and He answered me from His high mountain’.” Psalm 3:3. The Lord sees you and is protecting you! May you feel His presence in this season of life.”
In May 2020, I realized that when I stepped out in my faith to share God’s love with others by co-leading a Moms in the Making group, the devil wanted to shut that down immediately. But, God! God threw up his strong and beautiful shield and said, “Not today, Satan!” And God protected me from sustaining serious injuries or even worse during my car accident. He saved my life and continues to remind me that my story isn’t over yet.
Moms in the Making has provided me with support and guidance throughout many difficult seasons. Connecting with other women encourages me to share His love and goodness with others. I co-lead the Green Bay support group and have had the opportunity to minister to many women in our community. The vision of Moms in the Making continues to stir my heart and reminds me to be a fierce advocate for any woman walking this journey.
